Zips men's basketball: Broncos erase deficit to beat UA

The University of Akron men’s basketball team ermerged from the locker room at Quicken Loans Arena and played their most focused, determine half of their season.

Everything worked for them.  Inside.  Outside.  Defense. Offense. It led to them giving up 17 points, their fewest in the first half all season.   

Western Michigan University almost equaled them in the second half holding the Zips to 18 points.  Despite those defensive efforts the game went to overtime where the Broncos beat the Zips 64-60 in overtime to advance to the finals of the Mid-American Conference Tournament.

Shayne Whittington led all scorers with 18 points for he Broncos while UA forward Demetrius Treadwell led the Zips with 15 points.
