Notes: The Broncos might be a favorite to come out of the MAC’s mild, mild West given the way they’re playing currently. They certainly won’t be a pushover for the Zips, the primary reason being that they may have a frontcourt that will actually be able to give them problems. Senior forward Nate Hutcheson (12.6 points, 5.5 rebounds) and freshman forward, 6-foot-9 Darius Paul (12 points, 6.7 rebounds) played will during their non-conference schedule along with center Shayne Whittington (11.8 points, 8.2 points) and could test center Zeke Marshall (13.3 points, 6.8 rebounds), and forwards Demetrius Treadwell (10.9 points, 6.3 rebounds) and Nick Harney (9.9 points, 3.8 rebounds). Where the Zips enjoy an advantage is their bench where any member of the reserves is capable of providing a lift. It’s important that junior point guard Alex Abreu (9.3 points, 5.8 assists) begin to step things up for the MAC.
