Zips open camp with fumbles, interceptions
Football
Akron opened practice yesterday. According to Tom Gaffney's report, the weather was perfect but offensive execution was anything but.
The Zips are, however, transferring to a pro-style offense, which requires more snaps from under center. That caused some fumbles. Patrick Nicely, who took a bulk of the snaps, also threw some interceptions.
The GoZips.com report breaks down likely players along the new four-man defensive line.
