This may have slipped under your radar (as it has mine), but the Zips have won nine straight.
This has become a theme for the secondary sports (track and men's soccer not included). They tear up the nonconference schedule, then lay an egg against MAC opponents. See women's soccer, women's basketball, volleyball and last year's softball teams.
The Zips have some serious firepower behind Kurt Davidson, aka Akron's version of Pronk.
Now that the basketball season is over, I'm interested to know what kind of sports Zips fans would be interested in reading about.
In case you were wondering, the Buchtelite used to write almost exclusively about national sports, and even other colleges. We transformed it from Buckeyes and USC to pure Zips.
Anyhow, Buchtelite sports editor Adam Ferrise and I were wondering what the heck to do now that our cash cow was slaughtered. Given the success of the track team, that's one subject.
