Warning: This post is for hardcore fans only.
The Zips staff updated the roster on GoZips.com.
Here are the changes...
Jeremy Bruce is added as a wide receiver. The 5-foot-10 player transferred from West Virginia and will sit out this season. Akron was the only other school to offer Bruce a scholarship out of Beaver Falls High School in Pennsylvania. He runs a 4.35 in the 40-yard dash and was a two-star player,
according to Scout.com.
KC Patterson is now number 14, which he shares with linebacker
Chuck Thompson, a defensive back transfer from De Anza College in California, was added. The 5-10 player originally hails from Pittsburgh.
Reflecting his change from receiver to defensive back, walk-on
Tyler Campbell now wears number 48. Of all the walk-ons, Campbell probably has the best chance to play. Actually both Campbells have a shot.
Zack Campbell, a place kicker, has an opportunity to start, too.
Mike Thomas, who I mentioned a few days ago, is now on the roster. The defensive back transferred from UMass.
Jayson Keyser, a wide receiver walk-on from Bellaire, Ohio, is gone.
Green High School product
Cade Wagner, presumably seeing the large bold-print writing on the wall, has converted to receiver.
I will attend practice tomorrow morning and hopefully will have some juicy tidbits for you by 1 p.m. By the way, if you ever have questions you want me or the coaches to answer, please leave a comment or e-mail me at email@example.com.
Edit: Practice was moved to later this afternoon.
