Barton headed to Ohio State for soccer

Walsh Jesuit senior soccer player Chris Barton has orally committed to Ohio State University, Warriors coach John Kissner said.

Barton, who is also a standout sprinter in track and a kickoff specialist in football, is a midfielder on the soccer team. He had six goals and two assists last season for the Warriors, who won the Division II state championship.

Entering this season he has 12 career goals and nine career assists. Barton placed third in the 100 meters in the Division II state meet this past spring and also qualified for state in the 200.
