The Canton McKinley football team will play Huber Heights Wayne in the Kirk Herbstreit Varsity Football Series on Sunday, Sept. 5 at Ohio Stadium at 3:30 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
McKinley features senior-to-be defensive end Steve Miller, who has orally committed to Ohio State.
Wayne, a Division I program near Dayton, features standout senior-to-be quarterback Braxton Miller, who has several high-profile scholarship offers.
The event, in its fourth year, has doubleheaders on Sept. 5 and Sept. 6.
Dublin Coffman and Westerville South start the event with a noon kickoff on Sept. 5 on ESPNU.
The two games on Sept. 6 are Cleveland Glenville versus Florida’s William T. Dwyer at noon on ESPN and Pickerington Central against Virginia’s Oscar Frommel Smith at 4 p.m. on ESPNU.
Standout tight end Nick O'Leary, grandson of legendary golfer and Columbus-area native Jack Nicklaus, plays for Dwyer.

"We are looking forward to putting on another great show in 2010. I have always been a strong believer in the lessons and values learned through high school athletics. We look forward to making the 2010 event an experience that the participating athletes, coaches and fans will never forget."
Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, June 1 and can be purchased online at www.herbstreitfootballseries.com or through participating high schools. Adult tickets are on sale for $15. Student tickets are on sale for $10. Sunday and Monday tickets are sold separately, but are valid for both games each day.
The Kirk Herbstreit Varsity Football Series also features an additional four games at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Monday, Sept. 6.
