Firestone senior Darius Carter remains undecided on his college plans, Falcons boys’ basketball coach Joe Wojcik said.

Carter, a 6-foot-7 forward, has been receiving interest from several Division I colleges and junior colleges. Division I schools such as the University of Akron, Kent State and Wright State have expressed interest over the past couple of years.

“Darius is a heck of a basketball player,” Wojcik said. “He stayed loyal to Firestone and he carried this team. He was double- and triple-teamed every single game and he always gave his best effort. He always scored points, rebounded and played his heart out.

“He means a lot to Firestone, and he means a lot to me. He is a good person and a good basketball player. He will do well in life.”

Carter has a 74-inch wing span and weighs 220 pounds. He averaged around 23 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks per game in the regular season.
