By Michael Beaven Published: November 21, 2013

Chippewa senior Tyler McFarland is one of 125 high school musicians in the country that have been selected to participate in the U.S. Army All American Marching Band, and play during the half-time show of the All-American Football Bowl Game on Jan. 4.

McFarland has been a member of marching band for four years, and is involved in drama, euchre club and serves as the senior class president.

Chippewa’s football team posted a 9-3 record this season under coach Mike Bohley. Senior receiver Stoney Epling, senior defensive lineman Luke Willig and sophomore quarterback-defensive back Bailey Breitenstine guided the Chipps to a Division V playoff appearance and a 9-3 record. Trent Abel, Nick Zollinger, Jason Gumble and Bo Whetsell were also key contributors.
