Cincinnati Colerain QB making UA visit

One of the Cincinnati ’s top high school players will take a visit to the University of Akron this weekend.

Colerain senior quarterback Tyler Williams will visit Akron, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Williams helped lead the Cardinals to a 10-0 regular season record. Colerain was a regional semifinals.

Williams, who is 5-foot-8 and 155 pounds, is the school’s all-time leading rusher. He was a featured running back his junior year and moved to quarterback for this season. Colerain uses a triple-option offense.

Williams rushed for 1,654 yards and 20 touchdowns this season. He threw for 534 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Williams, a versatile offensive threat, has had interest or offers from Cincinnati, Buffalo, Ohio University and others.
