Copley's Kungle and Sharnsky make college choices

Copley High School announced Brittany Kungle and Lauren Sharnsky have signed national letters of intent to continue their education and athletic careers in college.

Kungle will play soccer at Walsh University and Sharnsky plans to play volleyball and swim for Ursuline College.

Kungle is a four-year letter winner in soccer and a two-year letter winner in softball. She was a soccer captain and a four-year scholar-athlete and earned All-Suburban League honors for four years, including her senior year when she was first-team All-Suburban. She also was a Greater Akron Touchdown Club Award winner and Team Defensive MVP.

Kungle won seven scholar-athlete awards, was on the honor roll for four years and was Vice President of Student Council.

Sharnsky was an important component on the Indians volleyball team as a senior. She captained the swim team her junior season and lettered for four years. She competed in the 500 meters, the 200 and on relays.
