Ellet senior Ben Cockerham earned the medalist honor Tuesday in the City Series Golf Championship at Mud Run Golf Course and Firestone won its fourth team title in a row.

Cockerham and Firestone sophomore Brian Schultz each shot 2-over-par-70s, but Cockerham triumphed after making a birdie on the first hole, No. 1, in a sudden-death playoff.

Ellet coach Lonnie Kammer said Cockerham’s final putt came from 13-feet away.

Firestone won with a team score of 314 and Ellet shot 330. Falcons coach Dave Milo said Schultz (70), junior Jonathon Giaquinto (79), sophomore Sam DiMeo (79) and sophomore Alex Erisey (86) scored for the Falcons.

Ellet junior Joel Beswetherick placed fifth with an 81.
