Firestone's Jerome Lane impresses with double-doubles

Senior Jerome Lane averaged a double-double to help Firestone defeat Buchtel three times this season and win the City Series regular season and playoff titles in boys basketball.

Lane, who is 6-foot-5 and 210 pounds, averaged 26.0 points and 15.3 rebounds in the three wins, which were by a combined 10 points.

The Falcons had two others average double figures in the three games, senior Kevin Gladney (19.0 points, 8.0 rebounds) and junior Evan Kennerly (10.3 points, 7.6 rebounds). Griffins senior Elijah Bell averaged 14.6 points and 8.3 rebounds.
