Stow junior Ian Holt returns to the Ohio State University Scarlet Golf Course this weekend, the site where he shared the Division I boys golf championship last year with Beau Titsworth, a 2012 Cleveland St. Ignatius graduate.
“I definitely think my chances are good,” Holt said. “The experience definitely helps me. Having been there before and knowing what to expect is definitely beneficial. I think there is pressure there, but you just have to control it and stick to your game plan.”
Holt, a Kent State recruit, and Titsworth, a current freshman golfer for the University of Oklahoma, both finished with scores of 8-over-par 150.
“Ian has had a good week of practice,” Stow coach Ken Miller said. “I think he is starting to hit the ball as well as he has. It will come down to if he can make a few putts. He is putting well, but a couple haven’t been falling for him.”
