The Highland baseball team continues to be on a roll after defeating Ravenna 10-1 on Friday at Progressive Field in Cleveland.
Highland upped its overall record to 13-3 with the win over Ravenna (8-2) in the Cleveland Indians Charities High School Hardball Classic.
Hornets seniors Jerry Scholle and Chad Sedio both went 2-for-3 at bat with a single and triple. Junior Anthony Ondrejcak also collected two hits.
Highland took control of the game with a seven-run third inning. The large lead allowed coach Jeff Rollyson to play all 18 players in uniform.
Highland junior pitcher Dylan McVay earned the win after working four innings. Kenny Sanford and Jacob Pries combined to pitch three scoreless innings.
The Hornets had 11 hits. Luke Raley, Evan Hollar, Zach Garcia and Jake Suran were contributors along with Ricky Esker, Ryan Hepner, Bruce Kinsey and Adam Bialosky.
The Ravens got two hits apiece from Brandon Holt and Kyle Spellman, and Tate Bennett smacked a triple.
