Highland High School senior outfielder Chad Sedio has orally committed to continue his academic and baseball careers at Miami University in Oxford.

Highland coach Jeff Rollyson said Sedio, 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds, will receive a partial scholarship.

Sedio had a .460 batting average with 29 hits in 63 at bats, seven home runs, 21 runs batted in and 35 runs scored. He was first-team All-Suburban League.

“First and foremost, Miami is getting an outstanding young man and a terrific baseball player with a tremendous work ethic,” Rollyson said. “He has been working the last four years to play Division I and finally his hard work has paid off. Miami is a good fit for him and I think he will be successful in the Mid-American Conference.”
