Hoban, Massillon stars earn Freshman All-American honors for football

Two area athletes – Todd Sibley of Archbishop Hoban and Danny Clark of Massillon –were named to the MaxPreps.com 2013 Football Freshmen All-American Teams.

Sibley, who is 5-foot-10 and 180-pounds, helped Hoban finish with a 5-5 record this past season. He rushed 189 times for 1,201 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also had 10 receptions for 201 yards and one touchdown.

Clark, who is 6-foot-3 and 200-pounds, helped Massillon advance to the Division II playoffs and finish with a 9-3 record. He completed 104-of-179 passes for 1,644 yards, and tossed 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Clark gave an oral commitment to attend Ohio State University on a scholarship. He can sign a national letter of intent when he is a senior in February of 2017.

Sibley is also generating interest from several Division I colleges.
