Jackson sophomore Brooke Bailey has committed to play volleyball on scholarship at Ohio State University.

Bailey, who is 15-years-old, is an impact player all over the court for the Polar Bears. Her best attribute is her spiking and blocking at the net. She is 6-foot-2 and has a 4.0 grade-point average.

“It has always been my dream to play amongst the top 10 teams and I think the Big Ten gives me a chance to play against top 10 teams,” Bailey said. “Ohio State is just a great opportunity for me to expand my playing. I am just real excited.”

Bailey has helped Jackson post a 6-1 overall record this year with a 4-0 mark in the Federal League. She is one of six returning letter winners from last year’s Jackson team that was the Division I state runner-up and finished with a 28-2 overall record and a 12-0 mark in the Federal League under coach Jeff Walck. The Polar Bears have won the past two Federal League titles after the North Canton Hoover Vikings won the previous two league crowns.
