Kent State baseball recruit playing on ESPNU Sunday

By mdyer Published: September 2, 2011

Pickerington Central senior quarterback Nick Jensen-Clagg will lead his teammates out on the field at Ohio Stadium at noon Sunday in a nationally-televised game on ESPNU against Cincinnati St. Xavier in the Kirk Herbstreit National Kickoff Classic in Columbus.

Northeast Ohio fans should take note. Jensen-Clagg is verbally committed to play baseball at Kent State.

Jensen-Clagg, who is 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds, split time at quarterback last season and is the starter this season. He could easily play college football but he committed to the Golden Flashes for baseball.

Jensen-Clagg, a right-handed pitcher, is ranked the state’s No. 8-best college prospect in the 2012 class, according to the Prep Baseball Report.
