Kent State lands big-time big back

By RonPreps Published: January 30, 2011

Cincinnati Colerain senior fullback Trayion Durham has reportedly made a verbal commitment to Kent State, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Durham, who is rated the nation’s No. 19-ranked player among Big Backs in the 2011 class by MaxPreps.com, had offers that included Michigan, Cincinnati, Kentucky, North Carolina State, Louisville, Boston College, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Colorado.

Durham had considered taking an official visit to Michigan this weekend, but verbally committed to Kent State on Thursday. Durham originally made a soft verbal to the Golden Flashes a few weeks ago.

Durham, who verbally committed to Wisconsin on Oct. 18, rescinded his verbal commitment to the Badgers in December.

Durham, who is 6-foot-2 and 242 pounds, was a Cincinnati Enquirer Division I first-team all-area selection this past season. He rushed for 1,096 yards and 15 touchdowns for the Cardinals in 2010.
