Chaese Vaudrin, a 2103 Lake High School graduate, signed with Geneva College in Pennsylvania to continue his education and basketball careers.
Vaudrin helped Lake basketball to its first Federal League Championship during the 2012-2013 season and 21 overall wins.
Vaudrin earned first team honors in the Federal League and was a third team selection in the Division I Northeast Inland District. He was the team’s captain and was selected team Most Valuable Player at the conclusion of the season.
Vaudrin was also selected as the “OHSAA Archie Griffin Award” winner for sportsmanship. He completed the past season as the top assist leader and second-leading scorer for the Blue Streaks.
“Chaese has been a dynamic player for the our basketball program,” Lake coach Tom McBride. “He has displayed great leadership skills along with his excellent basketball knowledge. Chaese proved to be one of Stark County’s best players this season and ranks as one of Lake’s all-time best players. He will be missed by our basketball program but will be a great asset for the Geneva basketball program.”
