Wyoming junior forward Larry Nance, a 2011 Revere High School graduate, has been named the Mountain West Conference player of the week.

It is Nance’s first player of the week honor of his collegiate career.

Nance scored a career-high 38 points and grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds in a 64-61 loss at Denver on Sunday.

His 38 points were the most by a Cowboys player since Jay Straight notched 41 points at Colorado State on Feb. 26, 2005.

Nance made 15-of-21 shots from the field and made 8-of-8 free throw shots. He also had two steals and one assist.

Nance, who is 6-foot-8 and 225-pounds, leads Wyoming (7-3) in points (15.8) and rebounds (9.3) per game.
