Magical season taking place for Barberton softball

The Barberton Magics softball team is having a season to remember as they enter today with a 17-2 record following a 4-0 victory over host Cleveland St. Joseph on Wednesday.

Barberton third-year coach Amy Garner Cardenas is leading the Magics to a winning season after compiling 5-22 and 9-17 records the previous two seasons.

Sophomore right-hander Macy Kaisk and sophomore left-hander Kloee Cuckler are Barberton’s top pitchers and hitters.

The Magics are also getting consistent production from senior Ashlee Ford, juniors Kelsey Wilson, Courtney James, sophomores Rylee Lappin, Emily Young, Makayla Okolish and Morgan Kadilak and freshman Kayla Rorrer.
