Mount Union adds four local student-athletes

Four area 2013 high school graduates have committed to attend the University of Mount Union and participate in athletics.

Green’s Joshua Pritchard will compete on the men’s basketball team and plans to study Business.

Pritchard, a 6-foot-7, 205-pound center, was a Division I All-Northeast Ohio Inland District selection who also earned All-Surburban League honors after averaging 9.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game for coach Mark Kinsley.

Lake’s Nick Gingo is slated to play on the men’s golf team. Gingo was a Division I All-District and All-Federal League selection for coach Thom Grubb. He plans to study Accounting.

Lake’s Kate Baker will compete on the women’s soccer team. Baker was an All-Federal League pick for coaches Les Drinknater and Karl Winkler. She plans to study Middle Childhood Education.

Sandy Valley’s Ben Lehotay will compete on the cross country and track and field teams.

Lehotay was a Division II All-Ohio cross country honoree under coach Justin Baum, and a Division II state track and field qualifier in the 3,200 meters for coaches Elizabeth Lampe and Mike Aukerman. He plans to study Computer Science.
