CANTON: Nordonia senior Stephen Romanik won his second Division I boys state 1-meter diving championship in a row Thursday at C.T. Branin Natatorium.
Romanik scored 565.10 points following his 11 dives. The score is a personal best and school record, topping his 557.80 at the district meet last week.
Romanik, an Ohio State University recruit, won the state title last year with 557.15 points. He placed second at the state meet as a sophomore with 507.25 points and was fifth at the state meet as a freshman with 440.10 points.
