Norwayne's Trevahn Beery commits to Western Michigan for football

By Michael Beaven Published: June 3, 2013

Norwayne junior Trevahn Beery has committed to play football at Western Michigan University in the Mid-American Conference.

Beery, who is 6-foot-2 1/2 and 185 pounds, plays cornerback and wide receiver for Norwayne.

"Western Michigan recruited Trevahn to play cornerback," Norwayne coach Joe Harbour said. "This is an outstanding opportunity for him to get a scholarship to college. He is getting a full-ride, which lifts a burden off his family."

Harbour said Norwayne junior Kaleb Harris is also mulling over scholarship offers. Harris is 6-foot-4 and 220-pounds. He is being recruited as a wide receiver, free safety and outside linebacker.

"Cincinnati has offered Kalen a scholarship and he has offers from several offers from MAC schools," Harbour said.

Harbour said Michigan State, West Virginia and Marshall have also expressed strong interest.
