Varsity Letters Player of the Game: Stow junior pitcher Alex Loftin

Loftin allowed two hits and walked one to start the game. But he induced a hitter to ground out and struck out two batters to get out of a bases-loaded jam without allowing a run.

After the first inning, Loftin was lights out. He only gave up one hit during the next six innings and finished with three hits allowed in a complete-game shutout victory. He finished with 11 strikeouts in seven innings of work and improved his record to 6-0.
