By Michael Beaven Published: April 30, 2014

Walsh football coach Gerry Rardin said six seniors have committed to play college football: Bryan DiCillo (Ohio), Mike Knoll (Boston College), Spenser Theiss (Baldwin Wallace), Matt McShane (Dayton), Alex Conley (Duquesne) and John Conner (Ashland).

DiCillo is a linebacker, Knoll is a kicker, McShance is a linebacker and Conley, Theiss and Conner are linemen.

“Those are some great kids,” Rardin said. “We had some of the finest leadership last year we have had in a long time. We will miss them, but the underclassmen want to emulate their leadership. They have left their mark and the underclsasmmen are following their lead.”

Walsh went 7-3 last year and won the North Coast League Blue Division title.
