By Michael Beaven Published: December 8, 2016

The fight on the court this past Saturday night between the St. Vincent-St. Mary and Cleveland Central Catholic boys basketball teams has been reviewed, and each school is handing down punishment.

The physical season opening game at CCC was called to a sudden halt with the Irish leading the Ironmen 70-53 with 3:52 remaining in the fourth quarter when a scuffle between multiple players, and then a subsequent fight involving players and spectators who rushed the floor occurred. A sold out crowd of over 1,000 was at the game.

CCC (0-1) has decided suspend all 15 of its varsity players for the next two games, and St. V-M (1-0) has decided to suspend eight varsity players and four junior varsity players two games apiece as well.
