St. V-M girls, Louisville boys among several teams ranked in cross country poll

The Ohio Association of Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches released a state cross country poll that features several area teams.

St. Vincent-St. Mary is ranked No. 1 in the Division II girls poll and the Fighting Irish boys are ranked No. 6.

Elsewhere in the Division II girls poll, Woodridge is seventh, Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy is 14th and Crestwood is 17th. Marlington is 17th in the Division II boys poll and Crestwood is tied for 20th.

The Louisville boys team is tied for No. 3 in the Division I poll, which also includes Lake at 10th, Jackson at 11th, GlenOak at 16th and Hudson at 18th.

The Division I girls poll includes Nordonia at 10th, Brunswick at 14th, GlenOak at tied for 17th and Medina and North Royalton each tied for 20th.

St. Thomas Aquinas is ranked fifth in the boys and girls Division III state poll. The Smithville girls are No. 15.
