St. V-M senior Dante Booker Jr. set to play in the U.S. Army All-American Game

St. Vincent-St. Mary senior linebacker Dante Booker Jr. is scheduled to play on national television on Saturday.

Booker, Ohio’s Mr. Football, will suit up for the U.S. Army All-American Game on Saturday in the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The football game will kickoff at 1 p.m. kickoff and be televised live on NBC.

Booker helped St. V-M win Division III state championships as a junior and senior, and is an Ohio State University recruit.

Other players who have orally committed to OSU and are set to play in the game are: wide receiver Curtis Samuel of Brooklyn (N.Y.) Erasmus Hall, wide receiver Johnnie Dixon of West Palm Beach (Fla.) Dwyer, cornerback Damon Webb of Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech, offensive tackle Marcelys Jones of Cleveland Glenville, defensive end Jalyn Holmes of Norfolk (Va.) Lake Taylor and offensive guard Demetrius Knox of Fort Worth (Texas) All Saints Episcopal.

Glenville defensive backs Marshon Lattimore and Erick Smith are also on the all-star team and continue to be targeted by Ohio State, Florida State and Alabama.

The Under Armour All-American Game took place Thursday in Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. and among the players were two OSU recruits: offensive tackle Jamarco Jones of Chicago (Ill.) De La Salle and linebacker Raekwon McMillan of Hinesville (Ga.) Liberty County.

Uncommitted Ohio State targets who also played Thursday: cornerback Tony Brown of Beaumont (Texas) Ozen and safety-wide receiver John “JuJu” Smith of Long Beach (Calif.) Poly Tech.
