Stow football coach sees benefits to hosting Massillon

Marty Tinkler says he sees nothing but positive things coming from hosting Massillon Friday night at Stow.

"Certainly financially this helps the program with a big crowd. It also helps us increase the profile of the program," said the Bulldog coach. "If you want to be the best, you have to play the best."

The Bulldogs (0-2) are coming off a 21-17 loss to Kent Roosevelt.

"We played much better than we did in the loss to Wadsworth. That opening game was screwy with all those delays," Tinkler says. "We led 7-0 early and 17-14 in the fourth quarter."

Tinkler said John Markulis, senior running back-defensive back, might play. That will be a game time decision.
