Team mentality pleases Walsh's Rardin in first week of practice

Walsh Jesuit football coach Gerry Rardin likes his team’s mentality during the first week of official practice.

“I like the team’s focus on commitment and unity,” Rardin said.

Walsh has several key contributors including quarterback Nick Wargo, linebacker/running back Ryan Jun, running back Jack Meadows, running back/defensive back Brock Jones, running back/defensive back Louis Hill, wide receiver Crissean Caver, wide receiver/defensive back Doug Lewis, tight end Kevin Enight, lineman Dane O’Driscoll, lineman Trent Donald, offensive lineman Sam Karam, offensive lineman Garrett Steinbeck, offensive lineman Gabe Heydinger, defensive lineman/tight end Antoine Smith, defensive lineman Kinosha Spencer, defensive lineman Nate Taylor, linebacker Zach Kordich, defensive back Nick Film, defensive back Mitch Puckett and kicker/punter Ross Martin (verbally committed to Duke).

The Warriors’ first scrimmage is at GlenOak and the second is home against Jackson.
