Walsh baseball players continue to attract college interest

By Michael Beaven Published: April 25, 2012
Walsh Jesuit baseball coach Chris Kaczmar said juniors Cassidy Brown and Joe Mockbee are receiving a lot of interest from colleges.
Brown is a catcher and right-handed pitcher for the Warriors.
“Cassidy is being recruited nationally as a catcher,” Kaczmar said. “Oregon State, Mississippi State, Boston College, Kent State, Ohio State, Duke, Mississippi and Stanford are just some of the schools recruiting him.”
Mockbee is a left-handed pitcher and first baseman for the Warriors.
“The recruiting process for Joe has started to really heat up,” Kaczmar said. “He is having a great year for us. Most of the MAC schools are recruiting him, including Toledo, Central Michigan and Akron.”
