Among high school football fans in the area, the names are recognizable - Greg McMullen and LaTroy Lewis.
Call them Archbishop Hoban's bookends on the defensive line, which because of their presence could be the best in the area. Here's the kicker: they're only juniors.
Juniors who have college scouts salivating at the prospects of them playing for their programs. According to sources at Hoban, Jim Tressel was spotted at the school earlier in the years. And Nebraska and Notre Dame are interested as well, according to reports.
To those who scoff at the notion of either of these guys being a Cornhusker, do not. First of all, Nebraska will be joining the Big 10 for the 2011, bringing its tradition to the conference and the 'Husker head coach, Bo Pelini, has deep Ohio roots, having grown up in Youngstown and attending and playing football for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
As for Notre Dame, there is always that Catholic connection. It will be interesting to see how things play out.
