Woodridge football returns nine starters both ways

By mikeb Published: August 25, 2009

Woodridge returns nine starters on each side of the ball, which has Bulldogs coach Eric Ervin optimistic about this season.

Senior Anthony Westren is back at quarterback after setting the school single-
season record with 2,021 passing yards.

"(Senior Anthony) Kelly, Brandyn Peters and Westren are the guys that will get their names in the newspaper, but really the offensive line is where it all starts," Ervin said.

Seniors Brennan Owens, Cameron Hilling, Andy Priddy and junior Jared Page are back along the offensive line. Brandyn Peters had about 800 receiving yards last season and Kelly contributed about 1,000 rushing yards.

Hilling and Bryan Peters return to guide the defense.
