Former Woodridge standout guard She’Kiera Brooks has signed to continue academic and basketball careers at Baldwin Wallace University.
Brooks, a 2012 Woodridge graduate, earned the Portage Trail Conference County Division Player of the Year in girls basketball this past season.
“She’Kiera is Woodridge’s all-time leader in assists (592) and steals (470) and finished in the top 12 in scoring with 867 points,” Woodridge coach Chris Esterak said. “She was also special mention All-Ohio, first-team All-District and first-team All-Tri-County Women’s Basketball coaches Association in the 2011-2012 season.”
Brooks was a four-year letter winner and three-year captain. She played a key role in Woodridge’s first undefeated regular season and best record in school history at 22-1. The Bulldogs won their third PTC County championship in school history and won a sectional crown.
