Woodridge seniors Kasey Kelleher & King Alfred Sanders set to play football in college

Woodridge senior long snapper Kasey Kelleher has earned a preferred walk-on spot with the Oklahoma football team.

Kelleher is also experienced as a lineman for Woodridge.

Addittionally, Woodridge senior running back King Alfred Sanders has committed to play college football at Wayne State.

Hoban seniors Jabari Taylor & Arison Sanders pledge to play football in college

Archbishop Hoban senior football players Jabari Taylor and Arison Sanders have made their college decisions.

Taylor has committed to play at Cincinnati and Sanders is headed to Slippery Rock.

Taylor and Sanders each were key defensive players on the Hoban football team, which won Division III state championships in 2015 and 2016. Sanders was a starter on both teams and Taylor was a starter on this past year’s team.

Hoban senior Todd Sibley (Pittsburgh) and Danny Clark (Kentucky) made their college decisions earlier. Sibley is a running back and Clark is a quarterback. Both players played key roles on the two Hoban state championship teams.

Six Copley High School seniors pledge to play football in college

Six players from the Copley football team have made the decision to play in college.

Weston Bridges was the first Indians player to commit when he pledged to Michigan State University in the summer of 2016.

Since then, five other Copley players have made their plans official – Austin Brenner (Ashland), Jaylon Doss (Malone), Zafeer Muhammad (Charleston), Jacob Williams (Tiffin) and Alex Zelch (Notre Dame College).

DeAmonte' King & Myles Williams of St. V-M set to play football in college

St. Vincent-St. Mary senior football players DeAmonte’ King and Myles Williams have made their college decisions.

King has committed to play at Toledo and Williams is headed to Walsh.

King, a wide receiver, originally committed to play at West Virginia, but has since flipped his pledge to Toledo. Williams is a running back.

Three other St. V-M football players made their decisions earlier – Justin Sampson and Malik Woolridge are headed to the University of Akron and Donte Taylor is set to go to Miami (Ohio).

Akron football gains commitments from Aurora's Bubba Arslanian & Hudson's Jonah Wieland

The University of Akron football team has received commitments from two more area high school standouts.

Aurora senior Bubba Arslanian and Hudson senior Jonah Wieland have pledged to play for Zips football coach Terry Bowden and his staff.

Arslanian played linebacker and running back for Aurora. Wieland served as a punter and offensive lineman for Hudson.

Aurora and Hudson each put together successful seasons that included appearances in the Division II playoffs in 2016.
