21 area football teams advance to state playoffs
The Akron Beacon Journal five-county coverage area will have 21 teams in the 2012 high school state football playoffs.
The area schools who will play in Week 11 are:
Division I, Region 2: No. 1 seed Massillon Washington, No. 3 GlenOak, No. 4 North Canton Hoover, No. 5 Canton McKinley, No. 6 Hudson and No. 8 Nordonia.
Division II, Region 5: No. 1 seed Tallmadge, No. 2 Kent Roosevelt, No. 3 Aurora and No. 7 Ellet.
Division III, Region 9: No. 5 seed Ravenna, No. 6 St. Vincent-St. Mary and No. 8 Woodridge.
Division III, Region 11: No. 1 seed Marlington.
Division IV, Region 13: No. 2 seed Norwayne, No. 3 Streetsboro, No. 4 Manchester and No. 7 Northwestern.
Division V, Region 17: No. 5 seed St. Thomas Aquinas.
Division V, Region 19: No. 7 seed Hillsdale.
Division VI, Region 21: No. 1 seed Mogadore.
