Akron reportedly offers two football scholarships

The University of Akron reportedly extended offers to a pair of football standouts from the Class of 2012 on Sunday, according to ScoutingOhio.com.

Steubenville junior free safety Najee Murray (5-foot-11 and 180 pounds) picked up an offer from the Zips. He also has offers from Kent State, Toledo, Bowling Green, Ohio and Miami (Ohio).

Also, Ridgewood tight end Evan Jones (6-foot-6, 240 pounds) picked up his first offer from Akron, according to the website.
