Akron resident Martavien Johnson, 10, has been invited to participate in the eighth annual Offense-Defense Bowl Week festivities taking place at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, FL. in early January.
Johnson will travel with family and friends and be in Orlando from Dec. 30 to Jan. 5.
Johnson competed in an Offense-Defense Football Camp this summer in Kentucky to advance to Florida. He plays running back, cornerback and quarterback.
Thousands of youth players from around the United States competed and Johnson is one of 60 children selected to play.
There will also be a high school Offense-Defense All-American Bowl as part of a week-long series of events.
