All-state softball teams

Several area softball players have been named to the coaches’ all-state team this spring.

Division I

First team: Hudson senior pitcher Mindy Meredith, North Canton Hoover senior infielder Alex Marcantonio and Cuyahoga Falls senior pitcher Amber Myers.

Second team: Cuyahoga Falls junior infielder Sam Troxell, Massillon Perry junior pitcher Casi Rohr and Medina senior infielder Alexa Montesano.

Honorable mention: Highland senior outfielder Gabby Mizner, Brunswick senior outfielder Lauren Boulton, Jackson senior outfielder Laura Basford and Hudson senior outfielder Emily Maggio.

Division II

Second team: Triway junior outfielder Demi Hart, Field senior pitcher Tabitha Murray and Marlington junior infielder Jesse Gorman.

Honorable mention: Southeast junior pitcher Kayla Williams, Alliance sophomore infielder Erin Dreger and Hoban senior infielder Jessica Gironda

Division III

First team: Sandy Valley senior catcher Danielle Grooms and Tuslaw senior infielder Stephanie Etter

Second team: Waterloo senior pitcher Sara Shields

Honorable mention: Hillsdale sophomore catcher Jennifer Moore, Norwayne junior pitcher Amber McDermott

Division IV

First team: Tuscarawas Central Catholic senior pitcher Hannah Vinci
