Kim Applegarth has resigned as softball coach at Cuyahoga Falls High School.

“Both my parents have some medical issues and it just felt like the right time to retire. I have no regrets,” Applegarth said.

The 2001 Black Tigers were 22-4, winning the Akron Division I district and defeating Madison 4-1 in the regional semifinal before losing 3-2 to Boardman in the regional final.
