Bigach commits to Carson-Newman College
Walsh Jesuit senior pitcher Matthew Bigach has committed to continue his academic and baseball career at Division II Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tenn.
The 6-foot-4, 190-pound Bigach went 4-0 in 2007, with an ERA of 1.85 and 17 strikeouts.
"In a short period of time, Matt established himself as a tremendous asset to the Walsh Jesuit baseball program," Warriors coach Chris Kaczmar said. "While he is a fine prospect blessed with good size and a loose arm, he is also an intelligent player who pays attention to detail, listens and learns, and can strategize on the mound. I admire his ability to be an entrepreneur when it comes to maximizing his potential, athletically and academically."
