Boedicker resigns as Perry football coach
Perry High School is looking for a new varsity head football coach.
Keith Boedicker turned in his resignation to the Perry Local Schools on Monday.
“After considerable deliberation, coach Boedicker believes this is in the best interest of the school’s program and for his family,” Perry Athletic Director Todd Sutton said. “His first-class attitude and genuine care and concern for his players has been appreciated.”
Boedicker completed his third season as Perry coach after guiding the Panthers to a 4-6 overall record and a 2-4 mark in the Federal League. He posted a 13-17 overall record during his three seasons at Perry from 2010-2012.
Boedicker spent the 2008 and 2009 seasons as an assistant coach at Baldwin Wallace College after serving as Nordonia High School’s head coach for 11 seasons. He led the Knights to a 92-32 record and five playoff appearances, including Division II state semifinals twice in 2002 and 2006, one Division II state runner-up finish in 2002, and is a member of the Nordonia Hall of Fame.
Boedicker, a 1978 Wadsworth High School graduate, was a three-year starter at Baldwin-Wallace College. He earned All-Ohio Conference honors twice.
