-- Wheelersburg (25-2) vs. Cincinnati Madeira (22-1), Friday at 4 p.m.
-- State championship game is Saturday at 7 p.m.
Central Catholic notebook: Senior infielder Patrick Stump leads the Crusaders with a .476 batting average and 10 stolen bases. . . . Sophomore center fielder Jake Krupar had a .386 average with nine home runs, 39 RBI, 41 runs, 13 doubles and eight stolen bases. . . . Senior Ryan Pack is batting .426 with 28 RBI and junior Anthony Paone is at .394 with 33 RBI. . . . Seniors Joe Tann and senior Tyler Triner are both batting over .379. . . . Tann is 9-3 with a 1.01 ERA. In 76 innings, he has 124 strikeouts, 20 walks and allowed 54 hits. Junior Brad Frohman is 4-0 with a 2.84 ERA. In 37 innings he has 37 strikeouts, 17 walks and gave up 37 hits. . . . CCC is making its fifth trip to state. The Crusaders won the Division III state title in 2008. They were Division II state runner up in 1997 and 2003, and a Division III state semifinalist in 2006.
