Dayton Carroll defeats CVCA boys soccer 2-0 in Division II state final

Where: Columbus Crew Stadium.
Who: Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (15-6-0) vs. Dayton Carroll (18-0-4).
Coaches: Jon Taylor of CVCA and Scott Molfenter of Carroll.
Notebook: CVCA enters its seventh state final in program history following a 3-0 state semifinal win over Bay Village Bay on Wednesday night at Brecksville-Broadview Heights. Sophomore Ben Locke scored the Royals three goals and has a team-high 20 goals this season. CVCA won state titles in 2004 and 2010 in Division III and in 2007 in Division II. Carroll defeated Bexley 4-0 in its state semifinal. Zach Zwiesler scored two goals for the Patriots and Trae’ Collins and Vonne Byrd scored one goal apiece. Carroll enters this match without a loss in its previous 59 matches. Carroll won state titles in 1980, 2008, 2010 and 2011. The Royals goalkeeper is senior Chad Prtenjak and the Patriots goalkeeper is sophomore Noah Kummer.
The CVCA starting lineup consists of:
