East basketball update
There is plenty of optimism within the East girls' basketball program this summer. East returns returns three starters from last season and should have more experience.
"So far this summer our attitudes have improved and the kids seem to be hungry to improve," East coach Mike Eberhart said.
Senior post player Jalisa Gavin has been impressive this summer. Eberhart said Gavin could average a double-double this winter.
"We will still be very goung but we will be better," Eberhart said.
Firestone seems to be the clear favorite in the City Series. The Falcons returns all their players and should be very deep and talented.
Still, East could make a significant impact among the rest of the teams in the city.
