Firestone's Linger committs to Hiram for softball
Firestone senior softball player Janie Linger will continue her athletic and academic career at Hiram College.
Linger, a product of the Coventry youth softball program, committed to play for the Terriers and coach Kristin Tassey.
Linger, the top pitcher and hitter for Falcons coach Bruce Clough, is expected to play third base for the Terriers.
``Janie is an outstanding young lady and a solid softball player,´´ Hiram Director of Athletics Tom Mulligan said. ``We are thrilled that she has committed to be a member of our program.´´
Linger plans to pursue a career as a dentist.
