Highland's Horvath accepts scholarship to play golf at UC
Highland coach Mary Becker said senior Stephanie Horvath signed a national letter of intent to attend and play golf on scholarship at the University of Cincinnati.
Horvath is a four-year, first-team All-Suburban League golfer and first-team All-Northeast Ohio selection.
She also received the Ohio High School Coaches Association Senior Academic Award and is a four-time recipient of the Suburban League Scholar Athlete Award.
Horvath helped the Hornets reach three consecutive Division I state golf tournament tournaments. She boasts an average of 81.9 for 18 holes and 38.6 for nine holes.
Academically, Horvath ranks in the Top 10 of Highland’s senior class with a 4.3 grade point average. She plans to study mechanical engineering at UC.
